This morning, you will be collected from your hotel to discover the vibrant capital of Peru with the Lima City Tour. Start by exploring Lima’s historic centre, where you will start with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, considered an important ceremonial centre belonging to the pre-Inca Lima culture. Then you will head towards the historic centre of Lima, passing through important districts of San Isidro, Lince, and Cercado de Lima. En-route, you will see notable landmarks such as the Palacio de Justicia (Justice Palace), the Lima Art Museum, the French Palace, and the Plaza San Martin (San Martin Square). In Lima downtown, you will have a walking tour starting at the Plaza de Armas, including the Cathedral of Lima, the Government Palace, and the Archbishop’s Palace. Then you will visit the Convent of San Francisco and its catacombs, one of the most iconic religious complexes in Lima. Then you will continue to Maras, which is a small town to make a panoramic view of the Salt Mines “Salineras de Maras” at an altitude of 3,200 masl approximately. It has approximately 3000 thousand salt wells, exploited by 360 families or partners, people who came from Maras Ayllu and Pichingoto. Afterwards, savour a delicious traditional lunch made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, offering an authentic taste of Andean cuisine. After a relaxed meal, you will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological sites in the valley. You will visit the Temple of the Sun, the Inca Terraces, and the water channels. At the end of your tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. After an early breakfast at your hotel in the Sacred Valley, we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train to Machu Picchu town, also known as Aguas Calientes town, the closest town to the Machu Picchu citadel. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, you will be picked up and taken on foot to the bus station to take the 25-minute bus up to Machu Picchu citadel, where your local tour guide will be waiting for you to start your amazing journey through the citadel of Machu Picchu. During your tour, you will be able to visit important places such as the Sun Temple, the Sun Stone, and the Three Windows room. After your tour, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, have lunch, shop for souvenirs or simply relax before taking the panoramic train Vistadome back to Ollantaytambo, where our team will be waiting for you to transfer you back to Cusco city. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Then head to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a vast ceremonial complex, and Qenqo, an ancient site known for its mysterious rock carvings. Afterwards, visit the Sulca Textile Museum, where you will see how people recreate traditional fabrics and garments using ancestral techniques inspired on the different pre-Columbian, Inca and contemporary cultures. Return to your hotel for a restful evening.

After an early breakfast, pick-up from your hotel and take you to the train station. You will travel between Cusco and Puno through the breathtaking Peruvian Andes.

Then you will be taken to Taquile Island, from where you will reach its beautiful community, nestled in a tranquil corner of the lake far from the usual tourist trails. At the end of the tour, you will navigate back to the port, and then you will be taken back to your hotel.

Today, be ready at your hotel to be picked up. You will travel from Puno to the city of La Paz, crossing the border at Desaguadero. Where you will change transportation. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the high Andean plateau and get a glimpse of local life in the rural villages of southern Peru and western Bolivia.
After clearing immigration and customs at the Desaguadero border, you will continue in a different vehicle on the Bolivian side to visit the impressive archaeological site of Tiwanaku, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient ceremonial centre was once the heart of a powerful pre-Inca civilisation and features fascinating structures such as the Kalasasaya Temple, the Gate of the Sun, Ponce Monolith, and Akapana Pyramid.
Your visit includes a guided tour of the ruins and the on-site museum, which houses stone carvings, artefacts, and displays about the Tiwanaku culture.
After your visit, continue the drive to La Paz, where you will be dropped off at your selected hotel.

For a great must, see the colourful city of La Paz from Killi Killi viewpoint. Hop aboard the city’s iconic cable car system, the highest and most scenic urban cable car network in the world.
You will also visit the Moon Valley, an out of this world experience, where you will feel like you are in the moon, finally you will be taken to your comfortable hotel.

Day 12 Bolivia
Salt Flats – Uyuni, Bolivia
Today, very early in the morning. We will transfer you from your hotel to the airport to board the domestic flight to the impressive Uyuni Salt Flats.
Upon arrival, transfer to the city centre to begin the tour of one of Bolivia’s natural wonders.
We begin with a visit to the Train Cemetery, just 10 minutes from Uyuni, followed by a stop in Colchani, where you’ll find a handicraft market featuring salt crafts and woollen goods made from llama and alpaca. You’ll also see how salt is processed by hand.
We continue to the Salt Mounds, saltwater eyes (natural springs), the Dakar Rally monument, and the World Flags Plaza. Then you will visit the first Salt Hotel, now a museum and restaurant, where lunch will be served. When it’s cold and windy, a picnic lunch is arranged on the salt flats, complete with colourful tablecloths and cushions.
After lunch, you will visit Incahuasi Island, known for its giant cacti. A walk to the top of the island offers spectacular views of the Uyuni Salt Flats. Here you’ll have the chance to take creative perspective photos and videos on the salt flat.
Tonight, weather permitting, enjoy an unforgettable stargazing experience on the salt flats, where the sky reflects beautifully against the salty surface, creating an otherworldly scene.
