A driver and English-speaking host will be waiting at the Port to accompany you to Lima’s Airport. Begin your journey to the heart of the Andes with a flight from Lima to Cusco, the historic City.

Peru is a diverse South American country known for its Inca heritage, Machu Picchu, Andes mountains. Its capital, Lima, is famous for its colonial history and world-class cuisine.

Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, a private transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley, a region known for its breathtaking landscapes, Inca heritage, and serene atmosphere.

The descent into the Sacred Valley allows for a smoother acclimatization to the altitude while offering the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the Andean countryside. Full-Day Tour of Machu Picchu

After an early breakfast at your hotel in the Sacred Valley, we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train to Machu Picchu town, also known as Aguas Calientes town, the closest town to the Machu Picchu citadel. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, you will be picked up and taken by foot to the bus station to take the 25-minute bus up to Machu Picchu citadel, where your local tour guide will be waiting for you to start your amazing journey through the citadel of Machu Picchu. During your tour, you will be able to visit important places such as the Sun Temple, Sun Stone, and Three Windows room. After your tour, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, have lunch, shop for souvenirs or simply relax before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo where our team will be waiting for you to transfer you back to your Sacred Valley Hotel. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 3 Peru

Cusco Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to start your Sacred Valley tour. This immersive tour will take you through picturesque villages that have preserved their ancestral customs and rich cultural heritage. You will start visiting Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological sites in the valley. You will visit the Temple of the Sun, the Inca Terraces, and the water channels. Afterwards, savour a delicious traditional lunch made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, offering an authentic taste of Andean cuisine. Then you will explore an ancient agricultural site featuring remarkable circular terraces called Moray, ingeniously designed to create distinct microclimates for cultivating a variety of crops. Then you will continue to Maras, which is a small town, to make a panoramic view of the Salt Mines “Salineras de Maras” at an altitude of 3,200 m.a.s.l. approximately. It has approximately 3000 thousand salt wells, exploited by 360 families or partners, people who came from Maras Ayllu and Pichingoto. At the end of your tour you will be taken to your hotel in Cusco. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Your next stop will be the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), one of the most important religious centres in the Inca Empire. Then enjoy a nice lunch in a local restaurant before heading to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a vast ceremonial complex, and Qenqo, an ancient site known for its mysterious rock carvings. Afterwards, visit the Sulca Textile Museum, where you will see how people recreate traditional fabrics and garments using ancestral techniques inspired on the different pre-Columbian, Inca and contemporary cultures.
